We here at Gator Gill offer a more personal approach to the monopolized Hookah diving industry since our founding in 2014. After an incident involving carbon monoxide fumes while diving with a gasoline-driven Hookah system, we were inspired to seek out a safer and greener alternative. We researched what other dealers were selling. during our search we found out no one was offering filtered compressor units and reserve air tanks on most models. If you did find one it was using minimal filtration. We decided to develop our own 12-volt powered surface air system that had all these features and more.

We took it one step further to make sure we always have at least three filters plus the reserve air tanks built into all our systems. After extensive dive testing and using these units ourselves, we finally succeeded in the first Gator Gill. Our next step was It had to be affordable, durable, and dependable if we were going to survive this monopolized Hookah diving market. We needed something to set us apart from all the rest and keeping it simple. We also decided to offer numerous parts and supplies from our website to allow others to build or repair their own Hookah diving system. This practice is considered taboo in the Hookah diving industry. Today 9 years later we are still continually adding new items to our website. Before purchasing any 12-volt or 120-volt Hookah Diving system, you should first ask these key questions.

Does the Hookah have an air reserve tank built-in for safety?
How knowledgeable are they about their competitor’s products verse their own?
How many CFM’s does the Hookah actually produce. * This will make a difference in the amount of air each diver receives*
Does the diving system have at least 3 points of filtration? Are they cleanable or replaceable?
Are the airlines Certified for air-breathing or food-grade PVC do they have stainless steel, or plastic brass hose ends?
What is the safest maximum depth for their Hookah? We Highly recommend 30 ft or less. THE SAME RULES APPLY FOR HOOKAH AS SCUBA.
Is the systemcapable of exceeding 30 ft and what are the safety measure I need to follow to do so? You can with Gator Gill as long as you have a Dive computer watch and 6 cubit or more spare air with a pressure gauge.
What is the recommended battery group number? How do I calculate my own deep cycle battery power source?

What is the longevity of my Hookah compressor? Can I get parts for it?
Does the system have underwater safety clips to prevent accidental disconnection?

We specialize in the 12-volt system because of portability and versatility. For those interested in using a hookah dockside or poolside our Pro series and Elite series 110-volt Gator Gills are a perfect choice. Either can be powered by direct current, generator, or inverters with a 3000 watts or larger capacity. The Gator Gill can be used aboard all types of vessels from kayaks to yachts, poolside to dockside. Have to ask yourself where you can get all these features anywhere else but Gator Gill.

For your own personal safety, all hookah style diving should be at 30′ deep or less due to the changes in atmospheric pressures at 33′ deep. We recommended taking a scuba class and getting educated and familiarizing yourself with all diving safety protocols prior to using this or any other hookah diving system.
